Filtration / licensing profile
Evaluate antimicrobial technology for air filtration.
Explore a bonded antimicrobial platform for filter media, housings and air-handling components.

01 / Application fit
Where DURITex can add value
You can implement DURITex across compatible filter media, housings and air-path components, with the applicable standards and testing metrics confirmed against your media, binder system and air-path use case.
The bonded treatment should be evaluated against the care conditions that define your finished application.
Filter media development
Air-handling housings and components
Portable or installed filtration systems
Defined surface-contact points within an air path
Use these potential application areas to guide your evaluation. Final suitability depends on your substrate, process, use conditions and the evidence required for your finished product.
02 / Proof story
How DURITex-treated filter media works.
DURITex is designed to bond into compatible filter media, adding a nonmetal antimicrobial function without relying on a loose particulate layer in the air path.
What the current evidence supports
DURITex-treated filter media is designed as a bonded, nonmetal treatment platform. The active is intended to stay within compatible media rather than add metal nanoparticles or intentionally released particles to the air path.
Recommended next step
Define your media, binder, pressure-drop target, airflow and target organisms; then validate bacterial and viral performance on the finished treated filter under its intended use conditions.
03 / Questions worth asking
Start by asking the right questions.
Which media and binder system are in scope?
What temperature, flow and service-cycle conditions apply?
Which organisms and test methods matter for your product decision?
04 / Shared evidence
Evidence that supports your confident product story.
DURITex-treated media is designed to bring the antimicrobial function into the filter itself. The nonmetal active bonds into compatible media rather than relying on metal nanoparticles or intentionally released particles in the airstream.
Bonded nonmetal treatment
The treatment stays with the media.
The bonded active is designed to physically disrupt microorganisms at the treated-media interface. It is not designed as a metal-particle or intentionally released nanoparticle treatment.

Finished-filter validation
Confirm efficacy and airflow together.
DURITex-treated media should be evaluated in the finished filter configuration. Bacterial and viral performance require organism- and method-specific testing on the treated media; pressure drop and airflow require comparative measurements on the finished filter.
*The treatment is designed to avoid a loose particulate layer in the air path. It does not by itself establish bacterial or viral efficacy, MERV performance, airflow, or no added pressure drop for every filter construction.
